| Financial report: Presented by Tony Hallin | Old Business: Pages were discussed - Gene said that he was not receiving them, he has a Sheriff's Reserve Radio on the hospital channel, need to have Jeff from S.O. look at; It was suggested that we check with the S.O. to see if they want us to respond to the radio checks for now; Laura also spoke about concerns from the dispatch side e.g. clearing the scene, why were they paging the S.E. responders for in town calls, etc; The group was informed that the policy for getting supplies was going to become more defined in the near future; Copies of cards not received at last meeting were received from Karen O., James C. and Miranda K.; Hat design is still being discussed as Len would like to donate hats to all volunteers. It was suggested that maybe a Star of Life and the words "First Responder" on the front with the initials "KCFRT" on the back. | New Business: Skills training stations would be available for our group on May 29th starting at 7pm in Meeting rooms 1&2 of the Kanabec Hospital, thank you to the Ambulance department for inviting us; Scene Safety was tabled until next meeting when we will be joined by Steve Schultz; We provided a tour of the ambulances and the ambulance garage; It was asked if anyone would be interested in working community events and the consensus was yes if not already involved; It was also asked if anyone would be interested in North Air coming up for a Saturday class on "Safe Landing Zones" and the group thought that was good also but would need dates ASAP to arrange schedules; Name tags were passed out for jump bags and an updated phone list along with a take along card were handed out; Watch for our full page ad coming out this week in the Kanabec Times; Tony Hallin announced that we had received a matching grant for $700 from the E.C.M.E.M.S. group. | |||||||||
